
Community Support
Mount Kenya University has a vibrant Corporate Social Responsibility policy that forms one arm of the tripartite focus areas of the institution – the other two being teaching and research. Every academic year, the university’s management, staff and students contribute to the welfare of the community, both in cash and kind.

The University has its’ own corporate social responsibility programs and also supports request from community, individuals or organisations towards a certain call.
Below are some corporate social responsibilities / community outreach programs which the University has or still is engaging in:
- Medical Camp
- Charity Golf Event
- Sinai Dam Tragedy donations through Nakuru Campus
- Modeling for the disabled
- Tree planting
- Presidential Club activities (Tree Planting, King’ong’o prisons donations)
- Children’s home visits(School of Hospitality)
How to Request for Support
Mount Kenya University accepts and considers requests and proposals that are geared towards supporting the community. Kindly write a letter or a proposal to the Vice-Chancellor and send it through email it to vc@mku.ac.ke, you can also send through courier or hand deliver to a campus near you.
