Mount Kenya University  has donated books to Nabingenge friends secondary school during its Corporate social responsibility during the high schools book harvest drive.

The books were presented to the school administration by Dr. Philemon Bureti, Director Communication and Corporate Affairs who was accompanied by Dr. Sugut, Director Kitale campus among others

Dr. Bureti reiterated Mount Kenya University commitment to continue providing quality education training and research as a vital component towards the realization of the vision 2030.

He challenged the parents not to concentrate too much on the girl child education and forget the boy child who has been reduced to sugar cane cutters.

While responding to the request by the area leadership that MKU opens a teaching centre, the director encouraged them to take advantage of the Kitale campus which is a stone throw away

He called on teachers to take advantage of the school based programme to up their credentials because they do not need to take a leave to further their studies by studying during the holidays

The school management, teachers, students and parents appreciated the gesture
