Mount Kenya University has today (9.12.2022) graduated 4500 graduates in a colourful ceremony held at MKU graduation pavilion at happy Valley Grounds. The event was presided over by Prof. John J. Struthers, Chancellor . The graduation ceremony was a physical event attended by graduands, parents, guardians and partners.

The 22nd graduation theme was ” Higher Education as a Factor for Reduced Inequalities”. The ceremony was graced by Hon. Dr. Peter Mathuki, Secretary General, East African Community as the guest speaker . Dr. Mathuki called on regional Universities to make deliberate efforts in creating synergies among the academia, private sector and Governments to support the entrepreneurial growth of students, staff and local communities. 

This is the first physical graduation ceremony since the Covid 19 pandemic which led to the University hosting online graduation ceremonies.
