On 30th November 2024 and 1st December 2024 Students will be reporting at Mount Kenya University to start their careers in Teaching under the Distance, Institution-Based and e-Learning (DIBEL) study mode.
When studying under the DIBeL, student attend face-to-face training during the national academic holidays that is on December, April and August where they undertake a theory classes and practical lessons. When the primary and secondary school reopen, the trainee teachers resume work in their stations and continue teaching as they study using our dedicated online learning systems. Using the e-learning system, they are able to interact with our lecturers on group and individual chats. Students can also hold a class on Microsoft Teams on need basis.
At the beginning of next semester/trimester student are required to first undertake their previous semester examination. This mode allows the teachers to continue working and gain more knowledge and skills.
