‘Excited to go and serve in Austria, thanks to MKU partnership’

Caroline Mwihaki is among the first two Mount Kenya University (MKU) Bachelor of Science in Nursing graduates who will start working in Austria this October. She graduated last year.

Here, she shares what this means for her:

“I am immensely proud and honoured to be one of the nursing graduates from MKU to be deployed to Lebenshilfe Tirol in Austria. This milestone reflects the hard work and dedication that I, along with my fellow graduates, have invested in our studies. It also highlights the strong international partnerships that MKU has fostered.

Throughout my training at MKU, I have been committed to achieving excellence in nursing and mastering the German language. This rigorous preparation has equipped me with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the Austrian healthcare system.

MKU’s high educational standards and vision of creating global citizens have been instrumental in my journey. The collaboration between MKU and Lebenshilfe Tirol has provided us with exceptional professional opportunities, comprehensive training, and cultural competence. This opportunity is not just a personal achievement but also a testament to the quality education and international pathways that MKU creates for its students.

I look forward to making significant contributions to the community at Lebenshilfe Tirol and embodying the values and skills honed during my time at MKU. I am excited to embark on this new chapter in my professional journey, and I am confident that the experience will be a cornerstone of my career in nursing.”
