Mount Kenya University Vice-Chancellor Prof. JAGANYI welcomed the Rwandan High Commissioner Martin Ngoga during his visit to Mount Kenya University Main Campus in Thika, where he met Founder & Chairman Prof. Simon Gicharu and the Rwandan students studying various courses at the campus..

The high commissioner paid a courtesy call to Prof. Gicharu and later planted a memorial tree at the student study villas which are an extension of the MKU library enabling students to hold group discussions.

Ambassador Martin thanked Prof. Gicharu for investing in Rwanda’s education sector and commended Mount Kigali University ‘s growth and impact over the years. He noted that that Mount Kigali University (formerly MKU Rwanda )has created a top notch study environment which is English speaking and offers English language training to the students.

During the visit the High Commissioner addressed over 30 Rwandan students at the the Mwai Kibaki Convention Centre, where he among other things encouraged them to work hard in their studies and to maintain good reputation that reflect Rwandan values. The student were over hoyed as they interacted with the Ambassador and lauded the good relationship between MKU and Rwanda that has enabled then to study in Kenya and work in Rwanda.
