Mount Kenya University has today (28th August 2024) donated Ksh 500,000 to PEFA Church Thika which is located near the main campus towards the ongoing church development. The donation was presented by Dr. Jane Nyutu, MKU Co-Founder and received by Bishop Waihenya who was accompanied by church pastors and leaders.

Dr. Jane Nyutu, was accompanied by Dr. Emmanuel Owuor, Dean of Students and Rev. Dr. Regina- University Chaplain. Dr. Jane thanked the church officials for nourishing the students spiritually and through mentorship.

PEFA church ministers to the community surrounding them which includes Mount Kenya University students and staff. Mount Kenya University student attend the Sunday service at PEFA Church and lunch time and evening fellowship.

PEFA Church officials commended MKU for transforming the community to a peaceful environment for students and the community to stay, MKU previously through Corporate social responsibilities initiative built the Thika Industrial police post and has a 24 hours surveillance vehicle to enhance security at the area.

Other members of the PEFA church who were present at the event include Dr. Daniel Mwangi – pastor and communication manager, Rev. Mulwa pastor, Dr. Mwangi elder and church secretary and Rev. Henry Asava.
