The School of Pharmacy at Mount Kenya University (MKU) is accredited by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB), the Pharmacy regulatory authority in Kenya in accordance with the Pharmacy and Poisons Act (CAP 244).

Brief synopsis of Dr S.Chandrasekhar, Ag Dean, School of Pharmacy
A Gold Medalist with M.Pharm from Institute of Technology ,Benares Hindu University, India.

A total of 36 years of Pharmaceutical Industrial experience as a Management Trainee, Product Development Officer & Manager, Project Controller, Quality Assurance Manager and General Manager, primarily in Research & Development, Quality Assurance and Projects in leading companies in India, Nigeria and Kenya.

Completed an EMBA from Kenya Institute of Management/ JKUAT. Now an ongoing PhD scholar with JKUAT.Came to Academia in 2014 from Industry.
My area of specialization is Pharmaceutics- the science and technology of Dosage Forms.

The School offers the following programmes:

  1. Post Graduate Diploma in Pharmaceutical Sales and Marketing
  2. Bachelor of Pharmacy
  3. Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology (DPT)
