Mount Kenya University Centre for International and Development Law (CIDLAW) at the MKU School of Law introduces the Certified Secretary (CS) course, formerly known as Certified Public Secretary (CPS), examined by KASNEB. This programme is offered online across all MKU Campuses and ODEL Centers, with classes starting in September.

Entry Requirements
Candidates must meet one of the following:
- KCSE C+ or higher
- Degree or Diploma from a recognized institution
- KASNEB Technician, Diploma, or Professional Examination Certificate
- IGCSE mean grade of C in six papers
- Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education (at least two principal passes and credits in Mathematics and English)
- Equivalent qualification approved by KASNEB
Course Structure
The CS course is divided into three levels: Foundation, Intermediate, and Advanced. Each level has two sections of three papers, totaling 15 units. Law graduates may receive exemptions, reducing the number of required units.
Course Duration:
- 6 semesters for 3 units per semester
- 3 semesters for 6 units per semester or for those with exemptions

KASNEB Fees (additional):
Registration Fee: Kshs. 7,500
Exam Fees (per paper):
- Foundation: Kshs. 1,400
- Intermediate: Kshs. 2,400
- Advanced: Kshs. 3,600

How to Apply
Application forms are available at any MKU campus or online. Submit the completed form, academic certificates, ID copy, passport-size photo, and application fee.
