Achievements
2nd runners up of the 2011 Kenya University sports association(KUSA) games.
2nd runners up of the 2015,2018 Kenya university sports association games (Nairobi Region).
Nicknamed MKU Vampires ( Men's side) has also been serial winners of a number of tournaments, among them being the St. Pauls university tournament, Thika high school annual tournament, Catholic University of East Africa annual tournament among many others.
Hope Raphael who was a member of the team and earned a national team call up, Christian Nabie, one of the midfielders also managed to bag the 2019 men's national league player of the year award.
Leadership & Training
Mount Kenya University hockey teams attend to their training sessions daily from 4:00PM to 6:30PM under the guidance of tactitians Kevin Mwangi and James Waruta at General Kago primary school grounds.
