Mount Kenya University is a Chartered university operating as a non-profit making institution of higher learning in East Africa. The university has its main campus located in Thika Town.

It has established campuses in Kenya and Kigali (Rwanda). Currently the University has nine (9) schools offering Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D), Masters, Bachelors, Diploma and Professional Certificate Courses
