Introduction

The course is intended to equip the trainee with the knowledge skill and attitudes that should enable them perform basic management functions in retail banking.

Objectives of the course

At the end of the course, the trainee should be able to: -

i. Understand the bank customer needs

ii. Appreciate the principles and practice of bank lending

iii. Understand the environment within which retail banking services are provided

iv. Provide investment services to customers

v. Provide trade fiancé and services to customers involved in foreign trade

vi. Provide efficient retail banking services.

Entry Requirement

Trainees entering this course should have any of the following requirement: -

i. Passed craft course in Banking and Finance

ii. Passed KCSE with an average grade of C-

iii. Equivalent qualification

Award of Certificate

On completion and satisfaction of the examining body by the trainee, the trainee shall be awarded a Diploma Certificate in Banking and Finance.
