Introduction
The course is intended to produce technicians who would work safely and efficiently in any Chemical Plant as technical process controllers.
Objective of the course
At the end of this course the trainee should be able to: -
- Adapt to work in any chemical process industry
- Demonstrate safety aspects of a process plant in relation to its design and operation
- Operate the process industry to its optimum conditions and production
- Evaluate the process plant
- Plan, organize and supervise effectively the work done by craftsmen and artisans
- Have acquired practical skill and attitudes that will lead to self reliance
- Acquired himself/herself with necessary academic base for further training.
Entry Requirements
Trainees joining this course should have any of the following minimum requirements: -
- A pass in relevant craft course
- Passed in KCSE with a mean grade of C-
- An approved equivalent qualification

Award of Certificate
On completion and satisfaction of the examining body by the trainee, the trainee shall be awarded a Diploma Certificate in Chemical Engineering.
