MKU wins World Corporate Universities Congress Award
MKU Vice Chancellor Prof. Stanley Waudo receives a trophy from Prof. Edwin Odhuno Dean school of Business & Economics, awarded to the School by World Corporate Universities Congress Mumbai India for qualitThe Mount Kenya University School of Business and Economics has been named the best in the region for quality of business education by the World Corporate Universities Congress. In an event held between 27th and 28th June, 2014 in Mumbai, India, and attended by Vice Chancellors and Deans of various universities from around the world, the School was feted for excellence in training.
MKU was represented by Prof. Edwin Odhuno, Dean, School of Business and Economics who received the trophy. The theme of the congress was “Turn your university into an efficient learning.”
The keynote address was delivered by Professor Govind Hariharan of Kennesaw State University in Atlanta, USA. Prof. Hariharan is also the Executive Director of the India China America (ICA) Institute. His research areas and publications are in public policy, taxation, finance, technology and economic development.
The World Corporate Universities Congress brought together various global consortia including Global Knowledge Management, World Private Universities and Kiit University School of Management.
The founder of the World Corporate Universities Congress, Prof. R. Bhhatia, explained that education can help develop mental, emotional and physical skills to facilitate personal excellence as well as psychological and socio economic wellbeing.
