MKU at the UK Kenyan Student Conference 2019

A delegation from Mount Kenya University is visiting Nottingham Trent University for the third Kenyan student conference which is set to take place on Saturday 9th March 2019 at the NTU City Site campus

Mohamed EGH, CAV, Former Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Education and H.E Mr. Manoah Esipisu Kenyan High Commissioner to the United Kingdom The conference will bring together students who travelled to UK for their studies and those who are domiciled in the UK with an aim of “Empowering Youth –Transforming Kenya” by inspiring them to use the knowledge they have acquired for the realization of Kenya’s Vision 2030 agenda

The conference will be attended by Amb. (Dr.) Amina C. Mohamed EGH, CAV, Former Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Education and H.E Mr. Manoah Esipisu Kenyan High Commissioner to the United Kingdom. MKU is represented by Dr. Bibianne Waigonjo-Aidi, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic and Research Affairs and Dr. Mary Muriuki, Dean School of Pure and Applied Sciences.

The conference aims to support students in an “After University” strategy and to engage students in discussion on employment, self-employment, the transition back to Kenya and into the work place both in Kenya and the UK.
