Congratulations to MKU Students “TOP STORY Season 2” Winners

Mount Kenya University Journalism students emerged top after defeating 19 other universities in “Top Story Sn2”. The trio, Ken Njenga, Ruth Ondiso and Samuel Gititu Wainaina won a trip to visit BBC in London and prospective job opportunities with Africa On Air.

The winners of Top Story season 2 Ken Njenga, Ruth Ondiso and Samuel Gititu Wainaina The winners of Top Story season 2 Ken Njenga, Ruth Ondiso and Samuel Gititu Wainaina “Top Story” is an investigative journalism TV reality show contest sponsored by Africa On Air. The contest has been airing on KTN HOME every Thursday at 7:30PM.

Other finalists included Maseno University, Kisii University and Multimedia University.

All the investigative stories filed by the four finalists had to be watched before the winner was announced. This took place in a gala event on Sunday, 25th March 2018 at the Kenya National Museum.

Mount Kenya University team investigated the issue of water cartels in Nairobi giving their story the title “Taps of Misery”
